4) Most of what is left for you to make your decision should be left here. Make sure that your Photographer has a sense of humor. I feel that this is the single most important thing to consider when hiring a Photographer. A good minded and easy person can be a life saver during when things go a bit crazy. This person is often your link to bringing you down from the ledge and can often times be an important means to bringing that smile back to your face real quick!
Now you must decide on your bridal party. You’ll be the best judge of who’s to be your Matron of Honor and brides maids. Have your partner select his groomsmen too.
Okay, so I am not talking about the actual letter in the word, rather, the composition of the subject’s body. You do not want their body to form a “T” in the photo. What I mean by “T” is when the subject is right in the middle of the frame with their back straight and their shoulders even across the photo. Their back and shoulders make a “T”. This makes the subject look stiff and uncomfortable. Unless you are a Marine Corps photographer trying to show the discipline of your subject, this isn’t the look you should be going for.
So how do we fix this? If you have your subject lean slightly forward or backward it will loosen them up a bit. Remember that a person’s personality should be reflected in a portrait. By following the “No T in Portrait” rule you should make sure they come out looking their best.
Sweet tip: select the economy form for the wedding ceremony. The highest consumption is the Chinese-style banquet, the following is buffet dinner and the most economical form is the cocktail party in various forms of wedding. So when you make choice, considering the new forms of banquet might as well. Guests can feel fresh and you can save money, too.
I’m sure there will be many more lessons and considerations. But for now, these have been the most critical and the most helpful in developing our wedding photography internship program. I hope they will serve you as well as they have served us.
