Popular music depends on it-great musicians who can compose, perform, or better yet, even do both-to songs that will uplift us. We want music that will stand the test of time. Our country can boast of having some of the greatest musicians ever known. Do we ever grow tired of hearing the Beatles, Michael Jackson, The Doors, Queen, James Brown, Kool and the Gang, War and other timeless favorites? Do the newer artists hold a candle to them? Even the current generation recognizes these favorite performers. It’s no wonder-these artists all had a talent for incorporating great rifts and creative beats into their music.

I guess the real question becomes who hasn’t dated, and sometimes even married a man/woman several years younger/older? How’d it go? What was personal intrest it like?

That, in fact, is one of the biggest problems with other free blogging sites, such as Blogger or MovableType, as well. You can lose your work without warning. Blogger, for instance, does allow you to place advertising, but again, I don’t recommend that anyone serious about their online business run it on a free platform. It’s simply too risky.

Blogger is missing many features that are beneficial to business bloggers and pro-bloggers. People who write my blog will probably do just fine with Blogger but if you want to run a company blog and have high hopes for it, it’s a good idea to go with another platform like WordPress. Blogger lacks features such as contact forms, article tagging, comment editing, comment subscriptions, etc. Moreover, Blogger cannot be integrated easily into other websites such as Technorati. Customization options are limited as well since few templates are available.

I love to read, and I have my list of favorite authors: Jane Austen, Alexandre Dumas, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Anne Perry and so on. I use them for inspiration daily, highlighting favorite lines in a book, taking their quotes and posting them near my computer, and re-reading favorite chapters for the 100th time. But imagine my surprise when I read aloud a newly written chapter in my novel and heard a cheap imitation of one of their voices and not my own. It was Mama Cass all over again. So how do you find your own voice as a writer? The process is different for every writer, but here are a few steps I took to find my own.

Planning – Once you have a goal and are inspired and have committed to the goal, you must plan how to achieve your goal. With no map to get from A to B, you are likely to end up at C. A simple way to think about a business plan is a list of things you have to do to reach your goals. Your plan is almost sure to change along the way, and that is OK.

I guess the moral is be careful what you dig and shout and be careful how much you submit because people who don’t like you can get your URL banned and of course the dig staff has not responded to my email about more details.
