Last Tuesday, a debut album was released from a band called Native Window on Star City records. Native Window consists of Phil Ehart, Billy Greer, David Ragsdale and Rich Williams.

I’ve decided to test out all of these sites by creating different “band” profiles and testing out each one of them. I will rate them by “Satisfaction, Customer Service, and Reliance”.

Use the bulletin boards, but not too much. Again don’t be pushy, but be inviting. Invite people to your blog and offer them the opportunity to get your newsletter: you do that by sending them to your squeeze page. Perhaps once every two weeks or so.

One afternoon while performing my normal myspace account ritual, inviting hot girls to be my friend and checking to see how many friends I now had, I realized that the number of my friends had shrunk instead of grown. That meant one of two things: Either MySpace was broken or SOMEONE HAD DELETED ME AS A FRIEND! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

You must be logged into your own myspace account first in order to send a private message to a friend or a possible MySpace friend. Once in, check on the profile of a member you want to send a private message. Click “Show All Friends” to view a friend who is already listed on your home page.

So although there is a link to the profile page for that product the link has been invited in by a friend instead of the old way where an ad just barges in. Nobody asks for the ads on MySpace so they become intrusive whereas the fan method means that the company gets invited to hang out with the rest of the posted items. Facebook understands that due to internet users general advert banner blindness and apathy towards adverts that a new strategy is needed. One where users choose which products they want to be associated with and updated by and where there is more focus towards providing what users are looking for as opposed to telling them what they want.

But keep in mind this is only one little trick to view private profiles and may not work for all people. While I have found it has worked on one PC in my home it does not work on another PC in my home. So it’s hit and miss. If you are one of the fortunate ones to have this tip help you try not to abuse it and if you are one of the ones it doesn’t work you can always try to just message the person to see if they are the person you think they are.
