Some of my favorite travel experiences have been road trips. There is no feeling like getting into a car, rolling down the windows, putting your shades on followed by The Eagles, and hitting the open road. While some of the best road trips can be done without any plan, I would suggest having a few things covered before you simply start driving.
Many restaurants in Maui are open-air. It’s unique to be in a nice restaurant, yet be outside enjoying beautiful weather. The seafood is mouth-watering. Our favorite spot was Swan Court at the Regency Hyatt. It’s elegant and peaceful as the swans drift by tableside. Any restaurant equipped with waterfalls cascading over rocks is alright by me.
Lynchburg Virginia has attractions I would recommend visiting when traveling through. It may not be a huge city but it can pack a punch when visiting. On a long trip children tend to get a bit fussy and restless. Stop in Lynchburg Virginia for some fun at Amazement Square, your children will be entertained for a couple of hours; afterward they are guaranteed to sleep the rest of your tour vietnam.
Last but not least there is eBay, which has a large variety of seven maternity jeans in all types of sizes and styles. Keep in mind that it is eBay so the selections do change often so if you check and they don’t have your size, keep checking. You can even get a pair of seven for all mankind jeans for as low as $50. Just make sure that you purchase the jeans from a reputable individual and that you double check what sizes they have. Some of their jeans do go as high as $200. Just make sure that you know your exact size before you purchase anything.
I’ve been planning to tour vietnam with Anhai for quite a while now, and a few years ago even decided to tell him about this plan. That turned out to be a great decision. Anhai applied his magic at every step of the way, whether it was whispering the right words in peoples’ ears, slipping a well deserved tip at the right time, or shielding me with his body until I was authorized to cross a Vietnamese street on my own. Think of a combination of a (junior, Vietnamese) Godfather-type figure with the potential of some day being a Jewish mother. Since Anhai left right after highschool, he did not see much of the country, and this opportunity gave him the chance to do so.
We then call at one of the local family workshops such as the coconut candy shop, learn how to make pop-rice, or experience a fantastic crisp rice paper making process.
How can you help? The people of Vietnam have been through a lot in the past few decades – two brutal wars against major powers, and crushing poverty into the 90s. The future is bright, but there are still a lot of people that need help. Many people I talked to before I left the U.S. last year seemed to think I would be living on a rice paddy and commuting to work by ox. I’ve made a point of telling folks back home about the Rolls-Royces and BMWs I see on a daily basis; the skyscrapers sprouting up all over the city; that I drive to modern, well-equipped language centers on a motorbike, on paved roads. While this is all well and good, there are also orphans, severely disabled people, homeless, and diseased, for which there is little safety net.
Hong Kong. Is one of the busiest places in the world. This is not the place to go for honeymooning not unless you have shopping, dining, late night parties and more shopping in your plans.
