ORIGIN – In the 19th century, the gasoline portion of the refining process, was first considered to be a ‘waste’ product of extracting the purified crude oil. Later on, it was discovered that it could be $old as fuel, instead of just dumping it back in the hole as had been the tradition.

A recurring smell may mean there is an issue. A burning smell usually indicates an electrical problem. In this case, the smell is usually an electrical short or burning insulation. Again, you may want to tow the vehicle to a service station instead of driving it there. A major breakdown could be imminent.

Reprogrammed ECUs for the Supra TT are VERY $$$. They are in the $1200 range. And they have not been proven to provide a significant increase in performance or safety on BPU(TM) level cars. Their merit shows itself on cars with upgraded Turbo(s). Just be sure you buy your ECU, or have it reprogrammed by a reputable shop that knows what they are doing. And have it tailored to your particular car (Driving habits, and Mods). And I would also recommend taking a look at the AEM Programmable system.

Above all other factors, the most common reason for tire failure is a lack of pressure. A lot of people are unaware that a small amount of pressure seeps from between the membranes of their wheels’ rubber. Over the course of a couple of weeks, the pressure loss in undetectable. Over several months, however, it can be substantial.

Attach the new hangers to the parts, and bolt them onto the underside of the car from the front of the car. Do not tighten the bolts all the way. This step will wait until after all your pieces are fitted together. Fit the pieces together with the use of new gaskets. This will ensure your new exhaust is free of leaks. After all the relevant pieces are fitted together correctly and securely, you can start tightening down each section from manifold to tailpipe. Make sure the bolts are tight.

If you have gotten the factory exhaust off, you are pretty much in the clear. You will install your Magnaflow system in the reverse order of taking the old one off. You can start by matching up the resonator section with the flange to the flange on the scrap O2 sensor recycling and bolting them together. They slip the connecting pipe into the resonator pipe and clamp it down with the supplied clamp. This piece also connects to the factory chassis mount you removed earlier. Be sure to secure the hangers into the rubber bushings.

How many miles does it already have on it? If you’re looking for a specific make and model of car, do your home work and see what total milage that car is good for in its life time. Also look for what kind of gas milage to expect, and were there any recalls for that car that year.

A flickering warning light is serious. A light that is showing a clear pattern of off and on is your worst case scenario light. This likely means you have a severe emission control failure and every time that light flashes your catalytic converter is being damaged by a misfire. This means your catalytic converter is overheating and can start a car fire. Pull over and get towed. This is not a time to try and make it a few miles to your destination.
