Did you ever wonder why you went into business, moved somewhere or took a job in the first place? Have you lost track of your mission and felt like you just couldn’t get back on your path? Success hasn’t been lost, failure isn’t anywhere close, but something is missing.
You can motivate as well as force yourself to scrub the spots out of your carpet. However, that does not mean you will enjoy what you have just accomplished. In fact, you will do everything in you power to prevent future spots.
There would be no flu shots to prevent the flu, there would not be a vaccination for the mumps (which by itself is a deadly disease) nor would there be simple over the counter medicine. Need a cough drop? Nope, nobody was really inspired to invent it.
So I spent the week waiting for name inspiration. This got me thinking about inspiration in general and wondering how many sit around and wait for Browse new tips to hit. You see, that’s something I can’t do. While I was waiting for the name to make itself known, I continued to work on the other images I’m preparing for the gallery. I continued to work on the description that was to accompany each photo. I continued to work on a variety of things that sit patiently in my creative magic box.
So now we have two concepts that influence motivation (emotions and logic). That is the major difference between the different types of motivation. So how do we get to 4 different types?
As you can see, AF motivation is a great self defense mechanism and people usually do it consciously or unconsciously (as the unconscious mind tries to protect you from harm). However, the biggest problem of AF motivations is that it doesn’t lead you any where but a way from the problem. Using the example of the open fire again, the AF motivation was really just to stay away from the fire. Once you’re safe from the fire, there is no more motivation to do anything else.
If you do the things listed here you will build your self up. You will have a strong positive attitude. And that will keep you doing the work that it takes to hit your goals. You will be able to keep going despite conditions or circumstances.
