Because of curiosity and my love of all things Internet related, more than three years ago I attended a bloggers’ get together. When asked if I had a blog, my answer was that “I do so much writing already, why would I ever need or enjoy creating a blog?” Since that memorable evening I read a few blogs, but still felt no desire to have one of my own. And then, it happened! I was bombarded by glowing reports of the importance of and marketing payoffs of having a blog.

Simply put, blogs can help increase the prominence of your main website. As we all know, traffic is the lifeblood of every online business, and 80% of the traffic that can be generated for any website would come from the search engines. To secure a good position in the search engine results, you’d need to increase your website’s page rank. And one way of making this happen is to have as many back links as possible. Back links refer to the number of websites linking to your main website.

Ensure that the payment gateway is secure and that the directory will give you immediate confirmation of and a receipt for your booking. Before filling in your credit card details you must check how secure the system is.

Now thousands of companies have some form of blogging inquired into there company and blogging changed the way many people look at communication. You would be surprised by the number of companies that offer an affiliate program. Many fortune 100 and 500 companies have affiliate programs that pay extremely well.

That said, for people who are very technical, there is software that will locate dofollow blogs, but I’m not terribly technical and so it’s beyond my abilities and inclination. Apparently it involves using proxies and software called scrapebox, but I’ve never bothered. If this approach appeals to you, then I suggest researching it further.

Narrow down to your top three site choices. Once you have these three, make lists of the pros and cons. Take a look at the popularity of the site, the success stories, the number of members, available search criteria, the members you see when you search, the costs, etc.
